Cousin Vinny’s Restaurant & Bar Is Now Open in the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre

P1000798If you enjoy a hearty meal of authentic Italian food, then you are going to love the dining experience that awaits you at Cousin Vinny’s Restaurant & Bar, now open in the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre.
“It’s all in the meat sauce,” declared co-owner Chris Vitiello, shown on the right in the photo, as he described Cousin Vinny’s signature dishes which include lasagne, gnocchi, ravioli and spaghetti & meat balls. “The recipe we use for our meat sauce has been passed down from its roots in Italy by my Nonna who has actually trained the chefs right here in the kitchen. I guarantee that once you try it, you will be back!”

Indeed, whether you are in the mood for Italian, or if you just want to have one of the all-time favourites like perrogis, hot sandwiches, wings, fish & chips or dozens of other appetizers and entrees from the new menu, Cousin Vinny’s is the place to go! Families will love the Children’s menu with free ice cream for dessert for children under 10 years of age. And everyone is going to be absolutely impressed with the completely renovated family atmosphere that has been created at Cousin Vinny’s.
“I’ve never seen this place look so good,” declared Val Mazzuca, owner of the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre when the completely renovated facility opened its doors on December 9. “What the boys have done to this restaurant makes me very proud.
I can’t wait to hear what people of this town say when they see it for themselves. It’s unbelievable!”
Co-owners Chris Vitiello and Tylor McNair (on the left in the photo) decided to create an establishment that would become famous for two things: excellent food and excellent service. Tylor explained, “You can’t have one without the other. Whether you sit down for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can always expect to enjoy a delicious meal and you will always be treated like royalty. We guarantee that you are going to feel special when you come to Cousin Vinny’s! You have our word on that!”
Cousin Vinny’s is also pleased to announce that their New Year’s Eve Celebration will include a four course meal, a live D.J. and free shuttle bus service for only $40 per person. Cocktails will be from 6 to 7 p.m. when dinner will be served. The dancing and music will begin at 9 p.m., so anyone just coming for the dance will only be charged $15. At these prices tickets are going fast, so make sure you call and reserve your spot before they are all sold out.
Chris and Tylor decided to open Cousin Vinny’s because they believe in the future of Valley East. They intend to help build the community spirit by supporting as many groups and organizations as possible. For example, they will be offering a 10% year-end bonus to sports teams and will be treating groups of six or more from registered teams to half-price wings whenever they gather for food and refreshments at Cousin Vinny’s. Wednesdays have already been designated as 2 for 1 wing night.
One of their favourite projects involves a group of students from Confederation Secondary School who have formed a local chapter of Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving. Both Chris and Tylor believe strongly that people of all ages must make responsible decisions when it comes to drinking. They will be helping the group raise funds this year to send students to a conference in the spring where they will develop leadership skills and be trained in approaching peers and the community about the seriousness of impaired driving. On Saturday, December 19 the student group will be set up at the entrance of Cousin Vinny’s to explain the goals of the organization and to hand out red ribbons.
Cousin Vinny’s Restaurant & Bar is now taking bookings for Christmas and New Years parties, so if you would like to reserve space for your family, friends or coworkers, make sure you contact Chris or Tylor to avoid disappointment. It’s always a good idea to make reservations, especially for larger groups.
Cousin Vinny’s is open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Come in once for a bite to eat and we guarantee that you will return!
