Changes at The VISION Paper

Most of you may already be aware that the local business Imprimerie VISION Printers has been sold and the new owner has moved the company out of town. Consequently the VISION Paper will no longer be published. The VISION Paper has been delivered free of charge every week to Valley East residents for almost 17 years. It will surely be missed.
Imprimerie VISION Printers was originally a commercial printing shop when it moved to Valley East from Elm Street in Sudbury during what some may remember as the “Urban Renewal”. They officially opened in the Hilltop Plaza in 1969.
My almost 16 years with Imprimerie Vision Printers has been an extremely rewarding and enjoyable time in my career, and looking back I will always have great memories from it.
But now, it is time to move forward.
Since notified of VISION Printers’ fate, it has always been my intention that I would continue on in the commercial printing business. Effective immediately, I will continue to do just that under the business name of JGC Printing (contact details listed below).
For the past several years I was mostly responsible for the preparation of all the printing jobs and consider myself uniquely positioned to continue serving past printing customers with a minimum of disruption.
And the news doesn’t stop there!
Many have asked if I would continue with the online version of the Vision Paper. Well I’ve decided I will continue hosting an online edition, hopefully with local residents participation and help. Submissions and editorial content will have to come for local residents. So, now is the time to have your say in the community. Please forward your stories, accomplishments, children sports or scholastic results etc for posting. You can expect some format and name change however the original premises will remain the same. It will be a good news version dedicated to the Valley East and local area residents.
All this will take some time to come in place however if you have comments or already would like to make a submission (pictures welcome), they can be emailed to me directly at jgc@cyberbeach.net. I will post them as soon as I can.
